what is the Daniel's fast?

The Daniel Fast is a spiritual practice based on the Bible, particularly Daniel 1:12-15 and Daniel 10:2-3, where the prophet Daniel abstained from rich foods as an act of devotion to God. More than a diet, the fast emphasizes deepening one's relationship with God through prayer, worship, and Scripture study. Inspired by Daniel’s example, this fast is a time of spiritual discipline, humility, and dependence on God, often undertaken to seek guidance, breakthroughs, or a closer connection to Him.

What can I have during the fast?

1. Only fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and whole grains

2. Only water and natural fruit juices

3. No sugar, sweeteners, meat, eggs, or dairy
